Not because she wanted to hide it. But because she didn\u2019t feel she could share it. And honestly, I understood. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because for decades, women have been silently taught the same rule: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Timing matters. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t say it too early. Don\u2019t risk the offer. Don\u2019t complicate things. So women calculate. They calculate when to say it. They calculate how it will be perceived. They calculate the potential cost. And that calculation is exhausting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is why conversations around equality at work still matter. Progress is real, but contradictions remain. In industries like marketing, tech, and social media, women represent a large part of the workforce. At <\/span><b>SAMY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>70% of our global team are women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But representation alone does not change these invisible rules. The real question is: <\/span><b>Can women grow here without editing parts of their lives?<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Mentoring and safety<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At <\/span><b>SAMY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we are determined to challenge that. We work to make progression clearer through transparent &amp; objective performance criteria, leadership visibility, and sponsorship. We invest in initiatives like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/samy-global_8m-internationalwomensday-activity-7435621417519325184-CVb3?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAABQMoVsBPWyMm1TOIs_arGJsIhM3KRG-FHU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Mirror Club<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, our internal mentoring program for women, which has already connected <\/span><b>more than 26 mentors and mentees across the company<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Because culture is not built through statements. It shows up in everyday decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, <\/span><b>SAMY hired me while I was on my second maternity leave<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. At a moment when many companies might have simply waited. That decision told me something powerful about the culture we want to build. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because when women feel they need to hide a pregnancy during a hiring process, the problem is not the woman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It\u2019s the system she has learned to navigate. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So the real challenge for companies today is simple: <\/span><b>Are we building environments where women feel safe enough to tell the whole truth about their lives?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because if we want innovation, creativity and leadership, we cannot ask people to show up only partially. And we definitely cannot ask women to choose between ambition and motherhood.
